Love of the Prophet is Imaan
It is narrated by Abu Huraira (Radiallahu a’nhu) that the Messenger of ALLAH (peace be upon him) said, “By him, in whose hands my life is, none of you will have (complete) faith until he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.”
Hazrat Anas (radiallahu a’nhu) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “None of you will have faith, until he loves me more than his father, children and all mankind.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, The Book of Faith, Chapter 8, Hadith 14, 15 )
Narated By ‘Abdullah bin Hisham : We were with the Prophet and he was holding the hand of ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab. ‘Umar said to Him, “O Allah’s Apostle! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self.” The Prophet said, “No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, you will not have (complete) faith till I am dearer to you than your own self.” Then ‘Umar said to him, “However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self.” The Prophet said, “Now, O ‘Umar, now you are a (true) believer.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, The Book of Faith, Chapter 8, Hadith 628)
In this chapter, Imam Bukhari has narrated 2 hadith and the interpretation of both the hadith is that a real muslim is the one who loves the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) more than his parents, children and everyone else. Therefore, it is necessary to know the kinds of love.
Allama Abul Hussain Ali bin Khalf Ibne Bataal Maliki mautufi 449 hijri writes there are
Three kinds of love
- Love filled with respect and greatness
- Love filled with mercy and kindness
- Love filled with favor and care
Why to love the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him)?
The meaning of this hadith is that a real muslim will be aware of all the rights of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) on him and knows that the virtues of the Prophet are much greater than his parent, children and everyone else. Because the Prophet removed him from darkness, guided on the right path, escaped him from the fire of hell and gave him the closeness of Almighty ALLAH.
Hafiz Abu A’bbas Ahmed bin Umar Qurtubi Maaliki mautoofi writes, It is necessary that the love for the Prophet must be greater than everyone else’s love. The reason for it is that Almighty ALLAH made the messenger perfect among every one, granted knowledge, greatness over everything, and placed all good qualities.
How to Increase Love of the Prophet?
Qazi A’yaaz bin Moosa Maliki Mautufi writes, One of the kinds of the Prophet’s love is to
- Follow the sunnah
- Obey Islamic laws
- Desire to visit the Holy Prophet (Recite Durood abundantly) and
- Spend one’s wealth and life on the beloved Prophet.
RasoolAllah se mohabbat ki Hadith
Is baab ki baab e saabiq ke saath munasibat is tarah hai keh donon baabon mein mohabbat ka talluq imaan se hai.
Imaam Bukhari riwayat karte hain keh hamein Abul Yamaan ne hadith bayan ki, unhone kaha hamein shoaib ne khabar di, inhone kaha hamein Abu Zinaad ne az A’raj az Abu Huraira (radiallahu a’nhu) hadith bayan ki keh RasoolALLAH (ﷺ) ne farmaya, “Pas us zaat ki qasam jiske qabza e qudrat mein meri jaan hai!
(Sahih Bukhari, Jild 1, Kitab 2, Kitab Al Iman, Baab 8, Hadith 14, 15 )
Tashreeh
Is baab mein Imam Bukhari ne do hadithein riwayat ki hain aur donon ka khulasa yeh hai keh kamil momin woh shaks hoga jo apne walid, apni aulad aur sab logon se zyada RasoolALLAH (ﷺ) se mohabbat karta ho. Isliye yeh janna chahiye keh mohabbat ki aqsam kya hain?
Allama Abul Hussain Ali bin Khalf Ibne Bataal Maliki mautufi 449 hijri likhte hain.
Mohabbat ki 3 aqsaam hain.
- Ajlaal aur azmat ke saath mohabbat jaise walid ke saath mohabbat hoti hai.
- Shafqat aur rahmat ke sath mohabbat jaise aulad ke saath mohabbat hoti hai.
- Istehsaan aur husne sulook ke saath mohabbat jaise tamam logon ke saath mohabbat hoti hai.
RasoolALLAH se mohabbat kyu karein?
Is hadith ka mana yeh hai keh jiska imaan kamil hoga, usko yeh maloom hoga keh uspar RasoolALLAH (ﷺ) ka haq aur apka fazal iske walid, uski aulad aur sab logon se zyada hai. Kyunkeh RasoolALLAH ne isko gumrahi se nikal kar hidayat di aur isko dozakh se nijaat di, aur hamein ALLAH ta’la ki marifat aur qurb hasil karna sikhaya.
Hafiz Abu A’bbas Ahmed bin Umar Qurtubi Maaliki mautoofi likhte hain, RasoolALLAH ki mohabbat ka sabki mohabbaton par raaij hona zaruri hai. Iski wajeh yeh hai keh ALLAH ta’ala ne apko tamam ajnaas mein kamil banaya hai aur apko tamam anwaa par fazilat di hai aur ap mein tamam muhasine zahira aur batina rakhe hain. Aur apko akhlaq e hasana aur khasaail e jamila ki khususiyyat ata ki hai.
RasoolALLAH ki mohabbat badhane ka tareeqa
Qazi A’yaaz bin Moosa Maliki Mautufi likhte hain, RasoolALLAH ki mohabbat ki ek qism yeh hai keh–
- Apki sunnat ki nusrat karna aur
- Apki shariat ki mudafia’t karna aur
- Apki ziyarat ki tamanna karna (Durood e pak ki kasrat) aur
- Apke upar apni jaan aur maal ko kharch karna.
